Orphans and Aid victims 3 properties in Bangalore and 2 apartments in Nellore each with their own warden, provide loving and caring homes to 46 children. The children receive good food, education at English speaking schools, medical and dental check ups and treatment as necessary and also enjoy taking part in various activities singing and dancing at other community project events. Many of the children go on to College and University and several are now employed in international companies in Bangalore.

Poor Families Many children live in villages across India and we are active in the very poor Kolar region. We provide financial support to families as well as paying for children’s school fees, clothing and medical and dental treatments as necessary. Their simple meagre homes have no running water or sanitation and employment opportunities are minimal.

Beggars As we have travelled we have recognised that, although children are our priority, we cannot overlook the thousands of beggars, blind people and those who have leprosy. This has particularly applied to visits we have made to Nellore and for a number years we have funded community meals for such as these. Several meals are arranged during the year when around 150 gather together to enjoy time with each other and a simple meal of usually chicken biryani, curds and greens.

Lepers Ladies and gentlemen from around the town of Nellore are given an invitation to join us and each also receive a gift of a blanket, to keep warm at night out in the streets, or mess can to keep food, water or oil in. Many of the people who come have lost limbs or toes or fingers and most have nowhere to call “home”.

Handicapped This project, located on the outskirts of Nellore is run by husband and wife Ravi and Aruna. They currently care for 15 men and women who have physical disabilities or learning difficulties providing them with accommodation, food, clothing and also simple education and physiotherapy.

We support by providing financial help for rent, electricity, water etc., and also non perishable food.

Villages and Slums Our work in slums and villages varies considerably depending on identified needs. For example we have provided an artificial leg to a man, crutches to a young boy, school bags to dozens of children, funded school and university fees, funded medical treatment and distributed gifts at Christmas.
